This group of men in Alabama cuts lawns for elderly and infirm people in their area, for free. And they do it with boys and young men, so they learn how to work… to experience working successfully… to experience being productive men.

The lessons of work are far more profound than are generally understood, and these men (and their donors) are providing those lessons to young men.

Not only is production itself hyper-important (no production means no survival), but young people need to learn that they can do it successfully.

So, before returning to the mundane, please list a few things you might do to show young people that they can produce. What can you help them make or repair? There could be thousands of variations on this theme; imagine some of them and write them down. See if they lead anywhere.
