The boy in this photo was hard of hearing, and so the musician came right up next to him and let him rest his head against his guitar. That allowed the boy to hear the music.

The musician stayed in that position for the entire performance, and the boy was ecstatic.

There’s a great deal to say about the powerful influence of music, but overwhelming even that is that fact that humans rise to benevolence once they can discern an opportunity to do so.
