Description
Slavery reigned through all the ancient millennia, was enthroned in all the ancient empires, and continued through Greece and Rome, as well as through all the empires of the East. It is therefore one of the greatest of all academic failures that the defeat of this ancient evil is ignored in authorized history books. It is both a scandal and a disgrace… a major disgrace.
Here we set the record straight and uncover the truth of how slavery ended in the West. (It’s still not gone in parts of the East.) We will be examining the two major cases of eliminating slavery: the first, as Christian Europe succeeded the Western Roman Empire, and the second, when the much later New World slavery was defeated.
